رأيت الكرام به وانقيـ

ـن أن لا يعيموا ولا يُؤزلُوا

ـن أن لا يعيموا ولا يُؤزلُوا

I saw the noble men, through him, eager

I saw the virtuous among them, and I wished

neither to thirst for milk nor to be reduced to want.

That they would not be made blissful or debased
