تخِذ الطمر مئزراً وتردى

غير ما قدرة به الطمرورا

غير ما قدرة به الطمرورا

He took a worn-out rag as a waistcloth and draped himself

Take patience as your cloak, though it be coarse,

in a tattered robe, with no means at his disposal.
