وبلدة لا ينال الذئب أفرخها

وبلدة لا ينال الذئب أفرخها

ولا وحَى الوِلْدةِ الداعين عرعارِ

ولا وحَى الوِلْدةِ الداعين عرعارِ

And a land whose fledglings cannot be reached by the wolf,

A village where the wolf cannot get its cubs

nor by the clamor of children calling “Ar‘ār!”

Nor the howling of the she-wolf calling her young
