1. أَنتَ لِلعَلياءِ في الخَلقِ وَزيرَ

    قُمت بِالحَقِ بَشيراً وَنَذير

    You are glory's minister among humankind;

    You stood for truth, a bearer of good tidings and a warner.

  2. تونس الخَضراء أَهدَتكَ إِلى

    أمراء العَصر بِالفَخر أَمير

    Green Tunis presented you to

    the princes of the age, proudly, as a prince.

  3. أَيُّها المَولى الحُسين المُصطَفى

    كُلُ فعلٍ حَسَنٍ مِنكَ يُنير

    O lord Husayn, the chosen one,

    Every good deed of yours shines.

  4. دار في الأَكوان يَهدينا السَنى

    لُطفَكَ الفائض وَالفَضلُ مُدير

    It has coursed through the worlds, guiding us to radiance—

    your overflowing kindness, with bounty directing it.

  5. لَكَ في الدُنيا صِفاتٌ قَد صفت

    فاحَ مِنها لِلمَلا أَزكى عَبير

    In this world, you have qualities that are truly pure;

    From them the purest fragrance has wafted to the people.

  6. أَنتَ لِلفهم منارٌ ساطِعٌ

    أَنتَ للعلم ملاذٌ وَنَصير

    You are a radiant beacon for understanding;

    You are a refuge and a champion for knowledge.

  7. يا أَميراً فَوقَ آفاقِ العُلى

    قَد عَلَت أَعلامُهُ تَحتَ الأَثير

    O prince above the horizons of glory,

    whose banners have risen beneath the ether,

  8. بِالذَكا وَالرُشد أَهَديتَ الهُدى

    لِلبَرايا ذَلِكَ الفَضل الكَبير

    With intelligence and sound judgment, you bestowed guidance

    upon humankind—that great bounty.

  9. هَزَّني شَوقٌ لِرُؤياكَ عَلى

    شَغَفٍ وَالقَلب بِالحُبِّ أَسير

    Longing for the sight of you has stirred me with

    passion, and my heart is held captive by love.

  10. لَيسَ طول البُعد عَني مانِعٌ

    إِن أَجدَّ السَعيَ لِلوَجه المُنير

    The long distance from me is no hindrance,

    if I strive in earnest for the radiant face.

  11. سَوفَ أَلقاكَ وَأَشفي غِلَتي

    ذَلِكَ الأَمر عَلى اللَه يَسير

    I shall meet you and quench my thirst;

    That matter is easy for God.
