Neither patience nor concealment remains to me.
I have no more patience or secrecy
No—nor religion, nor faith.
No, nor faith or belief

قَدindeed ضِقتُI grew constrained ذِرعاًin endurance فَاِستَطالَso grew insolent لِسانُa tongue
قَد ضِقتُ ذِرعاً فَاِستَطالَ لِسانُ
I seek forgiveness from God Almighty in my abasement.
I ask Allah the Almighty for forgiveness for my transgression
I can bear no more, and my tongue has grown insolent.
I have had enough, so my tongue grew long

I have gone mad; what recourse have I against fate?
I have gone mad, so I have no cunning with destiny
No desire is fulfilled, nor is there any solace.
No outrage to be resolved, nor authority

Hold back your spears, and be gentle with my last spark of life.
Enough of your swords, and be gentle with my madness
I have no strength to endure; I am human.
I have no endurance, I am but a human

The slumberous fire of your coquettish eyes still smolders in my heart
the fire of longing—your drowsy gaze.

Before my face, and harm comes in many forms
before my face, and suffering comes in many colors.
Look, everything in the wilderness passes away

Yet your displeasure keeps me in perpetual affliction,
Sorrows and laments have increased
through which troubles and sorrows have increased.

And the Nile has revived Egypt's land with its bounty,
Flooding over its meadows
so the flood spread over its meadows.

They abandoned obstinacy and corruption, and yielded,
Yet the defiance of your mind has no acquiescence
yet your mind's obstinacy knows no submission.

And the valiant Circassians, after their departure,
They migrated, so the Sultan protected them
have emigrated, and the sultan sheltered them.

They found a homeland in his vast dominion,
And kindness began to flow upon them
and benevolence began to pour upon them.

Yet your miserliness never ceases to torment me;
Anyone who sought your generosity was deprived
whoever seeks your bounty is harmed by deprivation.

So your desertion leaves me in perpetual displacement,
A refugee, with no place for me in the lands
exiled, with no place for me in these lands.

The permanence of your war, as times cycle
with your war enduring as long as time revolves.

they rained down, and I said, 'A cloud pouring torrents!'

You have no positions in the North that require
A replacement, nor any place for me in the South
a replacement; and I have no place in the South.

I find guidance, and by it the lost one is aided.
In the East, no injustice or aggression

Here we are in a joyful, serene age;
So be gentle out of kindness with your enamored one who has shed
in the East there is neither oppression nor aggression.

So kindly be gentle with your lover, who has cast off
The flirtation went on, so be firm in your affection
the bridle and been shaken by love's delirium.

Your coyness has lasted long and grown unjust in its hold;
What is it to you, if you would permit a brief visit
so grant union, that sorrows may end.
And a drink, by which the obsessed would live?

What would it cost you to allow a visit,
Do not fear the proximity of your people, and draw near me
and a sip by which the lovesick one revives?

Do not fear your beloved's nearness, and rest at ease;
Why this aloofness and aversion along with estrangement
for the time is serene, and the place is full of gardens.

Perhaps its shedding will extinguish the fires
so unjustly, when we are companions in pure affection?
Or cool my fervor with water from your lips

Here is my blood; drench the soil with its shedding,
So by your consent, I attain tranquility
so perhaps, through its pouring, the fires may subside.

For the sake of your beauty, a sacrifice in the high place
for divine favor has been sent down upon contentment with you.

I swear by your kindness: I am no betrayer.
