وَقَلْبُكَ السَّمحُ يَأْبَى أَنْ يَقُولَ كَفَى
Your bounty is a Nile that has met the country's needs,
The Nile called to you with the needs of the country, and you fulfilled.
and your generous heart refuses to say, 'Enough.'
Your generous heart refuses to say "enough".

See excess in his efforts?

Before you there was hunger with no one to care
and nakedness went uncovered, and feet were bare.
And nakedness with none to clothe, and ruin.

In your kingdom that was not blessed by their overflow.

Far from describing what qualities it encompassed!

In the open space of the house, an enchanting garden.

And its light is a balm for spirits, where it was pure.

Egypt's Farouk, for whom we would give our lives—has he ever seen a cause
Farouk, deliverer of Egypt, did he ever see a reason
for good without showing kindness to those behind it?
For good but that he inclined with kindness toward its people?

It is protection enough for Egypt, the Quiver, under his command
It suffices as protection, under his command,

That those who shoot arrows at it make it their one target.

then it is not the tongue but the heart that cries out.
It is not just the tongue, but the heart that calls.
