The essence of perfume shines forth from her greeting—

حَوَّاءُ هَذِي عَلى التَّشْبِيهِ نافحَةٌ

حَوَّاءُ هَذِي عَلى التَّشْبِيهِ نافحَةٌ

مِنْهَا تشِمِّين رَيَّا ذِكْرِكِ الْعَطِرِ

مِنْهَا تشِمِّين رَيَّا ذِكْرِكِ الْعَطِرِ

This Eve, by way of comparison, wafts fragrance;

Eve, who resembles her, exudes fragrance,

From her you smell the scent of your fragrant remembrance.

From her I sense the sweet scent of remembering you.
