Our two queens—may God preserve their glory—

يَوْمُa day سَعِيدٌhappy جَلاrevealed لِلحَاشِدِينَto those gathered بِهِfor it
يَوْمُ سَعِيدٌ جَلا لِلحَاشِدِينَ بِهِ
أَسْنَىmost radiant الرَّوَائِعَthe wonders مِنْof حُسْنٍbeauty وَإِحْسَانِand benevolence
أَسْنَى الرَّوَائِعَ مِنْ حُسْنٍ وَإِحْسَانِ
A happy day revealed to those gathered for it
A day of joy for all who gathered on it,
The brightest wonders of beauty and benevolence,
The finest of maidens graced it with beauty and kindness,
فِيin مَوْكِبٍa procession مِنْof أَمِيرَاتِprincesses الحِمَىthe realm عَجَبٌa marvel
فِي مَوْكِبٍ مِنْ أَمِيرَاتِ الحِمَى عَجَبٌ
بِكُلِّwith all مَاthat which يُبْهِرُdazzles الأَبْصَارَthe eyes مُزْدَانِadorned
بِكُلِّ مَا يُبْهِرُ الأَبْصَارَ مُزْدَانِ
In a wondrous procession of the realm’s princesses,
In a procession of princesses a marvelous sight,
Adorned with all that dazzles the eyes.

Established, no expense spared,
As a wellspring of refinement and knowledge for the people.

لِلاتِّحَادِfor the union بِهِin it مَرْمَىan aim أَرَادَit sought بِهِthrough it

تَنْمُوgrow بِفَضْلِهِمَاby the grace of them both أَغْرَاسُsaplings فِينَانِluxuriant
تَنْمُو بِفَضْلِهِمَا أَغْرَاسُ فِينَانِ
And what a light of guidance it holds, and shade of bounty!
What light of guidance in it, what shade of dew,
By the grace of both, luxuriant saplings grow.
Saplings of prosperity grow in their favor,

بِحُكْمِهِ يَسَّرَ اللهُ القِوَى لَنَا

Through his rule, God has made powers available to us

That He has not made available to peoples and homelands.
As never eased for other folk and lands,
فَلْيَحْيَىso may he live ذُخْراًas a treasure لِوَادِيfor the valley of النِّيلِthe Nile سَيِّدُهُits lord
فَلْيَحْيَى ذُخْراً لِوَادِي النِّيلِ سَيِّدُهُ
وَليَبْلُغِand may he attain الشَّأْوَthe summit مِنْof جَاهِprestige وَسُلْطَانِand power
وَليَبْلُغِ الشَّأْوَ مِنْ جَاهِ وَسُلْطَانِ
So may its lord live as a treasure for the Nile Valley,
Long live the treasure house of the Nile’s valley, its lord,
And may he reach the summit of prestige and power,
And may he reach the summit of grandeur and dominion,
مُؤَيَّداًsupported بِقُلُوبٍby hearts مِنْamong رَعِيَّتِهِhis subjects
مُؤَيَّداً بِقُلُوبٍ مِنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
تَصْفَىoffer sincerely لَهُto him الحُبَّlove فِيin سِرِّsecret وَإِعْلانِand open declaration
تَصْفَى لَهُ الحُبَّ فِي سِرِّ وَإِعْلانِ
Supported by hearts among his subjects
Backed by hearts of subjects filled with love
That offer him pure love, in private and in public.
