أو أيسروا حجوا بقلب خاشع

وبناظر فرح ربوع الهادي

Or, if they have the means, they make pilgrimage with a humble heart

and a joyful gaze to the lands of the Guide.

فهناك آيات الجمال ومنتهى

كرم العناصر في ربى ومهاد

For there are the signs of beauty, and the utmost

bounty of the elements in hills and plains.

وهناك رابية التجلي لم تزل

تزهى بنور من ضريح الفادي

And there the hill of the Transfiguration remains

resplendent with light from the Redeemer’s tomb.

هذا دياركم التي كانت حمى

للأنبياء وجنة الميعاد

This is your homeland, which was a sanctuary

for the prophets, and the garden of promise.

إن تصدقوا في حبها فصداقة

صفو القلوب ونبذ كل تعاد

If you are sincere in loving her, then let there be friendship,

purity of hearts and the rejection of all mutual enmity,

حتى يتم من المنى لسوادكم

ما يبتغيه دعاة هذا النادي

so that your people may see fulfilled, among their hopes,

what the advocates of this club seek.

يا أيها الإخوان من متوطني

مصر ونعمت كعبة القصاد

O brothers among those who have settled

in Egypt—how fine a Kaaba for those who seek her!

لا ننس حقا للكنانة واجبا

إيفاؤه ولقومها الأمجاد

Let us not forget al-Kinana’s rightful due, which must

be honored, and that of her illustrious people,

حتى نعد أداءه من ديننا

وجحوده ضربا من الإلحاد

so that we count its fulfillment part of our faith,

and its denial a form of irreligion.

دار محضناها الولاء ومعشر

سمح نصافيه الهوى ونفادي

A home to which we have given undivided loyalty, and a people—

generous—with whom we share true affection and for whom we make sacrifices,

في ظل عباس العظيم مليكنا

فخر الإمارة رب هذا الوادي

in the shade of great Abbas, our king,

pride of the emirate, lord of this valley.
