O sons of the great tree, deeply rooted in

Glory—would you stray from the path of the illustrious?

Let there be nothing among you except what we have known

Of old: love and affection.

Every house into which discord creeps

Suffers from it what enemies cannot inflict.

Remain obedient to the elders among you;

That is the inspiration of guidance and the path of rectitude.

As long as you remain one hand and one heart, you will attain

In every sphere of life, all you desire.

The fruits of virtue have ripened while you are

In harmony; so beware the advocates of corruption.
