That will remain talked about through the ages

It is the beginning of a coming age for Arab nationhood,
It is the beginning of a new era for Arabism
replacing the departing age of dispersion.
As a substitute for the era of dispersion that has passed

In the Levant, in Lebanon, a sign appeared,
In Syria, in Lebanon, a sign came
radiant, heralding the new and brighter triumph.
Radiant for the new splendid victory

For the genius son of the genius king

And from the welcomes, that had they not

Been pictured sensuously, they would not be pictured

Glory to Him who mended the hearts with Jabir
a people's stumblings, never remedied before him!
Stumbling of a people before it un-mended

However far we go in praising his noble deed,
However much we exaggerate the glory of His making
he has baffled praise, and his worth remains unmeasured.
Praise grew tired, and His worth was not appreciated

Umar al-Safi and his two companions—it is enough for them
The lifetime of As-Safi and his two companions is enough for them
if they were favored in the judgment of the fairest chooser.
If they preferred the most equitable view

During their reign and their countries
in the illustrious envoys, in the most splendid form.
The Western delegates saw the most wondrous sight

Those efforts cannot be, or even
or even part of it, through gratitude, however much we give thanks.
Partially, requited however much we express thanks
