تُعَجِّلُ نَفْسِي مَا تَشْتَهِي

تُعَجِّلُ نَفْسِي مَا تَشْتَهِي

فَنُخْطِيءُ تَحْقِيقَ آرَابِهَا

فَنُخْطِيءُ تَحْقِيقَ آرَابِهَا

My soul seeks to hasten what it desires;

My eager soul rushes what it desires

so we fail to fulfill its wishes.

Thus failing to attain its aspirations

وَإِنَّ الأُمُورَ لَمَرْهُونَةٌ

وَإِنَّ الأُمُورَ لَمَرْهُونَةٌ

بِأَوْقَاتِهَا وَبِأَسْبَابِهَا

بِأَوْقَاتِهَا وَبِأَسْبَابِهَا

And indeed, all things are bound

For matters are dependent

to their times and their causes.
