    Blessed are you, O Farouk—what a conqueror!

And what conquest compares with winning hearts?

Your grandfather, through judgment, conquered a nation

That the swords of war had failed to conquer.

You witnessed a tale from his history,

In which the wonders of dramatic portrayal take many forms.

And you are looked to with hope for a day when

Your people rise thereby above the most advanced nations.

May the Most Merciful grant you such glory

In kingship as no calamities can assail.
