A flame touched the side of the studio,
The heat of the canvas overwhelmed her
While she was absorbed in painting, heedless of it.
As she busied herself with portraying it
فَانْثَنَتْso she turned تُطْفِئُهُshe extinguishes it هَلاَّwhy not رَأَتshe saw

So she turned to extinguish it—why did she not see
She bent to extinguish it when she saw
How many hearts were burning around her?
Around her so many hearts set ablaze
