هَذا خَليلُكَ يا حَبيبَ خَليلهِ

هَذا خَليلُكَ يا حَبيبَ خَليلهِ

وَلنا من الإِسمَين اعظمُ شاهد

وَلنا من الإِسمَين اعظمُ شاهد

This is your Khalil, O Habib, beloved of his friend.

This is your friend, O beloved friend

And in the two names we have the greatest witness:

And for us the two names are the greatest witness

لفظانِ قد وُضِعا لمعنىً واحدٍ

لفظانِ قد وُضِعا لمعنىً واحدٍ

وَكَذاك جسمانا بِقَلبٍ واحدِ

وَكَذاك جسمانا بِقَلبٍ واحدِ

Two words coined for a single meaning,

Two words placed for one meaning

And likewise, our two bodies share one heart.

And so two bodies with one heart
