يَجتَ البَلابل والبَلابل
O player of the lute, you have stirred
the nightingales and sorrows.
فاسمعso listen مناغاةَthe warbling of الطيوopening fragment of ‘the birds’
فاسمع مناغاةَ الطيو
رfinal fragment of ‘the birds’ تظُنُّهُyou think it نَغَمthe song of البَلابلthe nightingales
ر تظُنُّهُ نَغَم البَلابل
So listen to the birds’ warbling;
you take it for the song of nightingales.
