ممَّن تعوَّدَ يُعطاها وَيُعطيها
No wonder if the bow has been given to its maker,
No wonder if the bow is given to its shooter
by one accustomed to being given it and giving it.
By one accustomed to give it and shoot with it

So we congratulate not him, but it,
So we do not congratulate him, but congratulate it
on having him, for it is the one that has attained its wishes.
For it has attained its wishes through him

An office of leadership attained by one who gained no further honor
A leadership which was attained by one who did not increase in honor through it
through it, for he had already possessed it within himself.
So in himself he already contained it

تَهنيك من رُتَب العليا معاليها
Too exalted in station for it to be said to him:
More sublime than to be told:
“May the loftiest of high ranks bring you joy.”
"Congratulations from the highest ranks and its glories"

A lord with a firm footing in virtue,
A master who has a foot firmly rooted in virtue
And in generosity his white hand matches it.
And a hand as white as lilies greeting it

He sought out virtues until he attained the best of them,
He sought virtues until he attained the best of them
So there was nothing new to him in them.
So to him there was nothing new in it

Blessed of face and radiant of brow, whenever
Blessed of face and bright of forehead when
the vicissitudes of the nights grow dark, he dispels their gloom.
The nights' vicissitudes darkened, he illuminated them

In his heart shone the light of truth, sent forth
In his heart shone the light of truth ignited
by the fires of his zeal, which resolve fans.
By the fires of his zeal and determination enflaming them

Tripoli of Syria congratulates itself for attaining
from him a glory with which its districts are adorned.
Through him a pride with which its regions are adorned

And Jillaq received a share of him, since he dwelt
And Jilq attained a share of him when he dwelt
there; so both have received their congratulations.
In it, so both attained their congratulations

His disposition has grown accustomed to justice and fairness,
Justice and fairness became his habit
And a person's habit does not stray beyond its channels.
And a person's habits do not transgress their courses
