1. انظر الى الزُهرة بين الزُهُرِ

    فَجَر الماس إِزآءَ الجوهرِ

    Look at Venus among the stars:

    A diamond's dawn beside the gems,

  2. وَهّاجةٌ مبهجةٌ للنظرِ

    ساطعةٌ بلا أَذى للبصرِ

    Blazing, delightful to behold,

    Radiant, without harm to the eye.

  3. إِلهة العشق لبعض البشرِ

    قَد عَبَدوها في قديم الاعصرُ

    Goddess of love to some of humankind,

    They once worshipped her in ancient ages.

  4. ما سُميَّت كذاك الّا إِذ دُري

    بانَّها تُعشَقُ عندَ الاكثرِ

    She was named thus only when it was known

    That she is loved by the majority,

  5. لما لها من الجمال النضرِ

    تفتَرُّ عن مثل عقود الدُرر

    For the fresh beauty she possesses.

    She smiles, revealing the likeness of necklaces of pearls,

  6. ضاحكةً من زُحَلٍ وَالمشتري

    والارضِ مع عُطارِدٍ والقمرِ

    Laughing at Saturn and Jupiter,

    And Earth, with Mercury and the Moon.

  7. تَهَزأُ بالمريخ حيثُ تَزدَري

    نبتونَ مع أُورانُسٍ في الاثرِ

    She mocks Mars, while she scorns

    Neptune, with Uranus following after.

  8. سَيّارةٌ في فَلَكٍ منحصرِ

    لكنَّماانوارها لم تُحصرِ

    A planet within a bounded orbit,

    Yet her lights remain unbounded.
