إنَّ الضعيفَ اذا تَناهى ضعفهُ

إنَّ الضعيفَ اذا تَناهى ضعفهُ

حارَت لديهِ قُوى القويِّ جميعُها

حارَت لديهِ قُوى القويِّ جميعُها

Indeed, when the weak one's weakness reaches its utmost,

When the weak are extremely weak

All the strong one's powers are baffled before him.

The powers of the strong are all confused

مثل البعوضة وهي احقر خلقةٍ

مثل البعوضة وهي احقر خلقةٍ

حتىّ ليُظهِرُ كَونَها مَسموعُها

حتىّ ليُظهِرُ كَونَها مَسموعُها

Like the mosquito, the lowliest of creatures,

Like a mosquito, the lowliest of creatures

So much so that its sound reveals its existence.

So that it can make itself heard

تغشىَ المَليكَ بعرشهِ وتَسوءُهُ

تغشىَ المَليكَ بعرشهِ وتَسوءُهُ

وَتَنالُ من دمهِ ولا يَسطِعُها

وَتَنالُ من دمهِ ولا يَسطِعُها

It besets the king upon his throne and vexes him,

It attacks a king on his throne and harms him

And draws his blood, yet he cannot strike it.

It drinks his blood and he cannot stop it
