لكَ مني اثر العين الَّتي

لكَ مني اثر العين الَّتي

لكَ فيها اثرٌ في كل أَين

لكَ فيها اثرٌ في كل أَين

From me to you, a trace of my very self,

You have from me the trace of the eye that

In which your mark is found everywhere.

You have in it a trace in every where

فتقبَّلهُ وَلَو كنتَ امرءاً

فتقبَّلهُ وَلَو كنتَ امرءاً

لَيسَ يَرضى اثراً من بعد عين

لَيسَ يَرضى اثراً من بعد عين

So accept it, even if you are a man

So accept it even if you were a man

Who will not settle for a trace once the person himself is gone.

Who wouldn't be pleased with a trace after the eye
