وخير الحوت ما يدعى بياحاً

وخير الحوت ما يدعى بياحاً

وقد فازت به دار المعلا

وقد فازت به دار المعلا

And the finest fish is that called biyah.

The best whale is called a pilot whale

And indeed the house of Al Mualla has gained it.

And it belongs to the House of Excellence

وأذكّرُ الخبيصة وهي شي

وأذكّرُ الخبيصة وهي شي

يقول لها الحشا أهلاً وسهلا

يقول لها الحشا أهلاً وسهلا

And I bring khabeesa to mind; it is something

I remind the loaf and it is a thing

To which the belly says, “Welcome!”

That the brushwood says to it hello and welcome

وأذّكــــــــــــــــــــــــــرُ

وأذّكــــــــــــــــــــــــــرُ

الخبز الرقاق مع المحلا

الخبز الرقاق مع المحلا

And I bring to mind

And I remind

Thin ruqaq bread with muhalla.

The soft bread with the salt
