هَبني أسأت وكانَ ذَن

هَبني أسأت وكانَ ذَن

بي مثل ذَنبِ أبي لَهَب

بي مثل ذَنبِ أبي لَهَب

Suppose I did wrong, and my sin was

I have sinned though my sin

like the sin of Abu Lahab;

Was like the sin of my father, Lahab

فأنا أتوبُ كما أسأ

فأنا أتوبُ كما أسأ

تُ وكم أسأتَ ولم تَتُب

تُ وكم أسأتَ ولم تَتُب

so I repent, just as I did wrong—

So I repent as I did wrong

and how often you did wrong and did not repent!

And how much you did wrong, but did not repent
