أهوَى هواكَ مجاهِداً

وأحبُّ فيكَ أذى الملامِ

وأحبُّ فيكَ أذى الملامِ

I love your love, striving,

I cherish my love for you, striving,

And in you I love the sting of reproach.

And for your sake I love the pain of reproach.

والنفسُ يقنعُها كلا

والنفسُ يقنعُها كلا

مُكَ إن أجبتَ إلى الكلامِ

مُكَ إن أجبتَ إلى الكلامِ

And the soul is contented by your wor—

And my soul is content with your—

—ds, if you respond with speech.

—words, if you consent to speak.

لا تنكرنَّ مذلَّتي

فالحبُّ يلعبُ بالكِرامِ

فالحبُّ يلعبُ بالكِرامِ

Do not condemn my abasement:
