Indeed, I envy whoever has died

for love of you, or attained union with you.

هذا استراح وهذا

نالَ المنى فتملَّى

The one has found rest, and the other

One found rest while the other

has attained his desires and enjoyed them fully.

وليسَ يزدادُ قلبي

إلا خُضوعاً وذُلا

إلا خُضوعاً وذُلا

And my heart increases in nothing

Yet my heart only grows

but submission and abasement.
