It is a trifle to you that I waste away,

كما لم أطعِ العذلا

أيا من يعرِف الجورَ

ومن يستكثرُ العَدلا

and who deem justice too much:

And who thinks justice too much

أدامَ اللَهُ حُبيكَ

وإن أصبحَ لي شُغلا

وإن أصبحَ لي شُغلا

may God make my love for you endure,

May God make my love for you last

even if it becomes a preoccupation for me.

Even if it becomes a preoccupation for me
