I have given you my heart as your slave.

So accept it, for my body will come to you.

And show it kindness, for I have been bereaved of it—

an offering from life's misfortunes that guides you.

O greatest master of hearts among all people, answer

a heart that confides its sorrows to you.

So be merciful to an ailing, lovesick wanderer,

whom the beauty in you leaves spellbound by you.
