How can I die of the sickness you have given me?

Indeed, in death lie my rest and my healing.

What I say is disbelieved; ask my tears,

And, when you ask, understand my weeping.

“May my father be your ransom!” I say to him. “Where—

Is my cure, though you already know my cure?”

I complain to none but you, and all I need

Is you—my desire, my goal, and my hope.
