هل تَرى السقمَ قد تبيَّنَ فيهِ
Grant him healing, O you who afflict him.
Wish him healing, O afflicted one
Do you see how sickness has become apparent in him?
Do you see the sickness has appeared in him

Do not ask why he wept, for tears reproached him,
Do not say why does he cry, the blood reproaches him
fleeing to you from those who reproach him.
Fleeing to you from the one who blames him

Every part of him is dejected and sorrowful;
Every part of him is gloomy and sad
it weeps only over what lies beside it.
He cries only for what afflicts him

He has no proof but sighs
they knew it was these that consoled him.
Know that they are what console him
