Sol 6.1

  1. بأيِّ ذنبٍ إليهِ

    أطالَ حُزني عليهِ

    For what offense against him

    has he prolonged my grief over him?

  2. قالوا نَراكَ سَقيماً

    فقلتُ من مُقلتيهِ

    They said, “We see you ailing.”

    So I said, “Because of his eyes.”

  3. في النارِ قَلبي وَعَيني

    في الرَّوضِ من وجنَتَيهِ

    My heart is in the fire, and my eye

    in the garden of his cheeks.
