بِفتورِby the languor of سطوةِthe power of مُقلتيكاyour two eyes
وضياءِand the radiance of زَهرةِthe bloom of وَجنَتيكاyour two cheeks
By the languid power of your eyes,
With the languor of your eyelids' tyranny,
and the radiance of your cheeks’ bloom,
And the radiance of your cheek's flower,
وَبهاءِand the splendor of وجهكَyour face والذيand the One who
بَذَلَgave freely القلوبَhearts لناظِريكاto your two eyes
and the splendor of your face, and by the One who
And the splendor of your face that
gave hearts freely to your eyes,
Offered hearts to your beholders,
إلاplease (in this appeal) رثيتَyou show pity لمقلتينِon two eyes
اعتلتاthey both fell ill شوقاًwith longing إليكاfor you
will you not take pity on two eyes
Would you not lament two eyelids
grown ill with longing for you?
That straightened with yearning for you,
فبكاءُfor the weeping of طَرفِهماtheir gaze الذيthat
أفنَىexhausted دُموعَهماtheir tears عَلَيكاover you
For the weeping of their gaze is what
So the weeping of their eyes that
has exhausted their tears over you.
Consumed their tears for you?
