Be generous, and return to one enamored whom you have abandoned for long;
Be generous, and visit a lovesick man you have long forsaken,
And he clothed one who had forgotten love and had lived carefree.
And likewise one who has forgotten love and was free of it.

My father be your ransom, you marvel of beauty,
Through it, your patron became an ally and protector to him.
Who, through it, became his master and protector.
