Wine is my soul—how, then, could I forsake it?
The breeze is my soul, so how can I abandon it?
Its appearance is pleasing, and so is its inner nature.
Its sight is good, and its news is good.

Wine that, whenever a poor man clasps its hand,
A breeze, if the poor man greets it,
Its rubies and jewels enrich him.
Its ruby and essence enrich him.
