تَعَلَّمْتُ عِلْمَ الكِيمِيَاءِ بِحُبِّهِ

تَعَلَّمْتُ عِلْمَ الكِيمِيَاءِ بِحُبِّهِ

غَزَالٌ بِجِسْمِي ما بِجَفْنَيْهِ مِنْ سُقْمِ

غَزَالٌ بِجِسْمِي ما بِجَفْنَيْهِ مِنْ سُقْمِ

I learned the science of alchemy through loving him—

I learned the science of chemistry through his love

A gazelle: my body bears the sickness in his eyelids.

A gazelle with my body, nothing in her eyes of illness

فَصَعَّدْتُ أَنْفاسِي وَقَطَّرْتُ أَدْمُعي

فَصَعَّدْتُ أَنْفاسِي وَقَطَّرْتُ أَدْمُعي

فَصَحَّ بِذا التَّدْبِيْرِ تَصْفِيرَةُ الجِسْمِ

فَصَحَّ بِذا التَّدْبِيْرِ تَصْفِيرَةُ الجِسْمِ

So I sublimated my breaths and distilled my tears,

So I exhaled my breath and dropped my tears

And by this procedure, the body's yellowing was achieved.

With this remedy, the whistling of the body was healed
