بأخفافها يدنو الفتى من حبيبه

بأخفافها يدنو الفتى من حبيبه

وتُبعدهُ إن أذهلته الشدائدُ

With their padded feet, the young man draws near to his beloved.

With light steps the youth approaches his beloved

And they carry him far away if hardships leave him dazed.

And difficulties keep him far, should they bewilder him

يكون على أكوارها هجعةُ السرى

وأذرعُها عند الصباح وسائدُ

وأذرعُها عند الصباح وسائدُ

On their saddles comes a brief slumber during the night journey.

On her hills the companions find their night's rest

And their forelegs are pillows at daybreak.

And her arms in the morning are their pillows
