O driver of the caravan from Qana to Jerusalem,

Go slowly, so you may bring soul and breath together.

Let us complete our journey toward God,

For God hears best when we call upon Him in Jerusalem!

There, at every gate, an opening and a hand...

Drawing one closer to God, above the army and the guards.

In her wall is a flame from her Creator's light.

Woe to a fire that pours death into the flame!

The sound of the call to prayer and the prayer bells together—

To me, there is no difference between the voice and the bell.

It is she who still, in truth, draws us together

Toward Palestine, despite separation and misfortune.

How near the path is to an eye guided by insight,

And how far the path from a mind driven by obsession!
