نَهَضْتُمْ بها جمعيةً يُرْتَجَى بها

نَهَضْتُمْ بها جمعيةً يُرْتَجَى بها

هدى كَتْلةٍ فيما تُحاولُ خابطَهُ

هدى كَتْلةٍ فيما تُحاولُ خابطَهُ

You have established it as a society through which one hopes

You have embarked upon it as one body hoping for guidance

to guide a group groping blindly in its endeavors.

To lead a mass of people in what they are attempting blindly

عسى أن تُنيروا للشبابِ طريقَهمْ

عسى أن تُنيروا للشبابِ طريقَهمْ

وأنْ تُنْعِشوا روحاً من اليأس قانطه

وأنْ تُنْعِشوا روحاً من اليأس قانطه

May you light the way for the young

Perhaps you will illuminate the path for the youth

and revive a spirit made despondent by despair.

And revive a soul hopeless and despondent

إذا فَشِلَتْ كلُّ الروابطِ بيننا

إذا فَشِلَتْ كلُّ الروابطِ بيننا

فرابطةُ الآدابِ أمتنُ رابطه

فرابطةُ الآدابِ أمتنُ رابطه

If all the bonds between us fail,

If all the ties between us fail

then the bond of literature is the strongest bond.
