واصطلى الطاغي بنيران الأبي
The mighty one cut off the conceited one's nose.
The mighty arrogant raised his nose haughtily
And the tyrant burned in the defiant one's fires.
And the tyrant was burnt by the fires of the father

History witnessed what it had never seen
Of the struggle of the patient one who seeks divine reward.
Of the struggle of the persevering devotee

Tell the generations how the arena of death took pride
The field of death was of an old man and a boy,
In an old man and a boy

ظنَّها " باريسَ " بنْتَ الطرب
A heedless one embraced dreadful death;
Embracing death intoxicated
He thought her Paris, daughter of revelry.
It thought it “Paris,” daughter of pleasure

And he showed her how vile the aggressor was;
And it showed it how the violator was impure
So she showed him how pure the outraged one was.
So it showed it the wrath of the angry

Skilled in delivering a slap to the usurper.
Skillful at slapping the usurper

There the son of reason and poverty prostrated himself,
The son of mind and poverty bowed down to it
Compelled, before the son of depravity and gold.
Forcibly to the son of deceit and gold
