يا حَزرَ أَشبِه مَنطِقي وَأَجلاد

وَكَرَياني الأَمرَ بَعدَ الإيراد

وَكَرَياني الأَمرَ بَعدَ الإيراد

O Hazr, emulate my speech and my bodily strength,

My cautious friend

And my revisiting a matter after bringing it forward,

My logic and tolerance resemble yours

وَعَدوَتي في أَوَّلِ الجَمعِ العاد

وَعَدوَتي في أَوَّلِ الجَمعِ العاد

وَحَسَبي عِندَ بَقايا الأَزواد

وَحَسَبي عِندَ بَقايا الأَزواد

And my charge at the forefront of the attacking host,

And my hostility at first gathering is familiar

And my nobility when provisions are down to their remnants,

And my provision is with the remnants of supplies

وَحُبِّيَ الضَيفَ إِلى جَنبِ الزاد

وَحُبِّيَ الضَيفَ إِلى جَنبِ الزاد

And my love for a guest beside the provisions.

And my love for the guest alongside the provisions
