غَزا نَمِرٌ وَقادَ بَني تَميمٍ

غَزا نَمِرٌ وَقادَ بَني تَميمٍ

وَمَرَّ لَهُ الأَيامِنُ بِالسُعودِ

وَمَرَّ لَهُ الأَيامِنُ بِالسُعودِ

Namir went to war and led Banu Tamim.

A tiger led the tribe of Tamim

And auspicious omens passed his way, bringing good fortune.

And time favored him with good fortune

فَفَكَّ الغُلَّ عَن تَيمِ بنِ قُنبٍ

فَفَكَّ الغُلَّ عَن تَيمِ بنِ قُنبٍ

وَتَيمٌ في السَلاسِلِ وَالقُيودِ

وَتَيمٌ في السَلاسِلِ وَالقُيودِ

So he removed the fetter from Taym ibn Qunb,

So he freed the shackles off of Taym, son of Qunb

While Taym was in chains and shackles.

While Taym remained bound in chains and shackles
