إن كان ذات اللَه لا تتصور

إن كان ذات اللَه لا تتصور

فبأي شيء يؤمن المتفكر

فبأي شيء يؤمن المتفكر

If God's essence cannot be conceived,

If the essence of God cannot be conceived

then in what does the thinker believe?

Then with what can the thinker believe?

كم من حكيم يبتغي إنكاره

كم من حكيم يبتغي إنكاره

بصراحة لكنه لا يجسر

بصراحة لكنه لا يجسر

Many a sage wishes to deny Him

How many a sage desires to deny Him

openly, but he does not dare.

Frankly, but dares not take leave
