إِلّا الدَقيقَ فَإِنَّهُ قوتٌ لَنا

إِلّا الدَقيقَ فَإِنَّهُ قوتٌ لَنا

فَإِذا غَلا يَوماً فَقَد نَزَلَ البَلا

فَإِذا غَلا يَوماً فَقَد نَزَلَ البَلا

Except flour, for it is our sustenance.

Nothing but flour, for it is our staple food,

So if it becomes costly one day, calamity has descended.

And should its price rise one day, calamity would ensue.
