Bring it—give me Babylonian wine to drink,
Bring me a cup of Babylonian coffee,
It resembles the sun's radiance—nay, it is finer.
That rivals the sun's rays, nay it's better,
فَقَدfor indeed نَطَقَspoke الدُرّاجُthe francolin بَعدَafter سُكوتِهِits silence

For the francolin has spoken after its silence,
For the pearl has spoken after its silence,
And the rose's letter has arrived: “Indeed, I am coming.”
And the book of roses - I am coming.
