أرى الأمس أمس آخر الصفحات
I have recited the book of time until it is as though I
I read the book of life until it seemed
See yesterday [become] the last of the pages.
I saw yesterday as the last page
فماso not منany جديدٍnew thing فيin الحياةlife يلذdelights ليme
فما من جديدٍ في الحياة يلذ لي
وماand not منany قديمold thing لذdelighted ليme هوit آتcoming
وما من قديم لذ لي هو آت
So nothing new in life delights me,
Nothing new in life gives me pleasure
And nothing old that once delighted me is to come.
Nothing old gave me pleasure that came

بمسقط رأسي غذ فقدت لدائي
And of a thousand, not a single peer remains to me
No old friends left, just one

In my hometown after I lost my friend

And I truly long for those who have departed,
Longing for those who endured
And only my death will reunite us.
Only my death will reunite us
