مولايَ في مِثلِ هذا اليَوم قَد قُرِنت

مولايَ في مِثلِ هذا اليَوم قَد قُرِنت

آمالُ مصرَ بِإِنجازٍ وَتَوفيقِ

آمالُ مصرَ بِإِنجازٍ وَتَوفيقِ

My lord, on a day like this were joined

My Master, on a day like this hopes were linked

Egypt’s hopes with fulfillment and success.

Between Egypt and accomplishments and success

وَنَسَّقَ السَعدُ لَمّا أَن وَليتَ به

وَنَسَّقَ السَعدُ لَمّا أَن وَليتَ به

شَتاتَ شَملِ المَعاني أَيَّ تَنسيقِ

شَتاتَ شَملِ المَعاني أَيَّ تَنسيقِ

And good fortune, when you assumed rule that day, set

And fortune arranged, when you assumed authority over it

The scattered company of meanings in splendid order.

The dispersed symbols of meaning, what an arrangement!

فَاِهنَأ فقد قالت البشرى مؤرِّخةً

فَاِهنَأ فقد قالت البشرى مؤرِّخةً

بِمِصرهِ لِيَدُم كرسيُّ توفيقِ

بِمِصرهِ لِيَدُم كرسيُّ توفيقِ

So rejoice, for glad tidings proclaimed, recording the date:

So congratulations, good news has chronicled

“In his Egypt, may Tawfiq’s throne endure.”

for Egypt, may the throne of success endure
