1. و ﺍﻟﺴﻴﻒ ﻓﻲ الغمد ﻻ ﺗُﺨشَى مضاربُه

    ﻭﺳﻴﻒ ﻋﻴﻨﻴﻚ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺤﺎﻟﻴﻦ ﺑﺘّﺎﺭُ

    And the sword in its sheath—its blows are not feared;

    Yet the sword of your eyes is keen-edged in both states.
