Passion has allowed us what it allowed.

Better to embrace if the darkness is

A cover, without it a barrier.

The eye is barred from the pleasure of seeing,

But the spirits are set loose.

The universe has fallen asleep, save those eyes
The universe sleeps but for those eyes

How long we stayed awake before, a long night,
so silence complained of our wailing that night.
Silence complained of our lamentations,

And separation oppressed us for months, heedless
And separation sought for months, uncaring
of the longing and wasting we endure.
Of what we suffered, melting away and withering.
