1. أنا ساعةُ النفسِ الأَبيَّه

    الفضلُ لي بالأَسبقيَّهْ

    I am the hour of the unbowed soul.

    The honor is mine for coming first.

  2. أنا بِكْرُ ساعاتٍ ثلاثٍ

    كلها رمزُ الحميَّهْ

    I am the firstborn of three hours,

    each a symbol of zeal.

  3. بِنْتُ القضيَّةِ إنَّ لي

    أثراً جليلاً في القضيَّهْ

    Daughter of the cause, I indeed have

    a great impact upon the cause—

  4. أَثرَ السّيوف المشْرَفِي

    يَةِ والرماحِ الزاغبيَّهْ

    the impact of Mashrafi swords

    and Zaghibi spears.

  5. أودعتُ في مُهجِ الشبي

    بة نفْحةَ الرّوحِ الوفيَّةْ

    I placed within the hearts of youth

    a breath of the faithful spirit.

  6. لا بدَّ من يوم لهم

    يَسْقي العدى كأسَ المنيَّهْ

    A day must surely come for them

    that makes the foes drink the cup of death.

  7. قسماً بروح فؤاد تص

    عَدُ من جوانِحِهِ زكيَّهْ

    I swear by Fuad's spirit, which ascends

    pure from his breast,

  8. تأتي السماءَ حفيّةً

    فتحلّ جنَّتَها العليَّهْ

    reaches heaven, which welcomes it,

    and dwells in its lofty paradise:

  9. ما نال مرتبةَ الخلو

    د بغْيرِ تضحيةٍ رضيَّهْ

    he did not attain the rank of immortality

    without a willing sacrifice.

  10. عاشتْ نفوسٌ في سبي

    ل بلادها ذهبتْ ضحيَّهُ

    Long live the souls that, for the sake

    of their country, fell as sacrifices.
