O minister who possessed lofty virtues and became

A namesake of Ali, after the Prophet.

أنت أسمى من كل ندبٍ تسمى

أنت أسمى من كل ندبٍ تسمى

في البرايا محمداً وعليا

في البرايا محمداً وعليا

You are loftier than every noble man named

Muhammad and Ali among humankind.

كما أناجي ربي ليبقيك غوثا

كما أناجي ربي ليبقيك غوثا

أبدا الدهر راضياً مرضيا

أبدا الدهر راضياً مرضيا

Just as I beseech my Lord to keep you a source of aid

For all time, content and well-pleasing,

وأناجيه أن تدوم معاذاً

وأناجيه أن تدوم معاذاً

كمناجاة عبده زكريا

كمناجاة عبده زكريا

And I beseech Him that you remain a refuge,

As His servant Zechariah beseeched Him.
