الختمُ أدرك أنّ قدرَك جلَّ أن

The seal realized that your rank was too exalted

خاف الوقوعَ على اسمِك الأعلى إذا

فوق الكتابة لو توَسّطَ فيصلا

It then feared landing upon your most exalted name,

It feared that your highest name would fall

If it stood midway above the writing as a divider.

If it were placed above the writing as a separation

أخطأتُ في ظنّي فكان صنيعُه

فضلاً يجلّ به مَقاماً أفضَلاَ

I erred in my supposition; its deed was
