إن كنت تنشط للصبوح فإنه

يومٌ أغر محجلُ الأطرافِ

يومٌ أغر محجلُ الأطرافِ

If you are eager for the morning draught, it is indeed

If you go out in the morning, it is

A radiant day, white-marked at its edges.

A day whose edges are adorned with beauty

وأرى الغمامةَ كالعقاب محلقاً

وأرى الغمامةَ كالعقاب محلقاً

مسودةَ الأوساطِ والأكتافِ

مسودةَ الأوساطِ والأكتافِ

And I see the cloud like a soaring eagle,

And I see the cloud like an eagle hovering

Black about its middle and shoulders.

Darkening middles and shoulders

طوراً تبلك بالرذاذ وتارةً

طوراً تبلك بالرذاذ وتارةً

تهمي عليك بدلوها الغراف

تهمي عليك بدلوها الغراف

At times it wets you with drizzle, and at others

At times it wets you with sprinkles and at times

It pours down upon you from its capacious bucket.

It rushes upon you with its overflowing bucket

فانعم صباحاً وائتنا متفضلاً

فانعم صباحاً وائتنا متفضلاً

ودع الخلافَ فليس يومَ خلافِ

ودع الخلافَ فليس يومَ خلافِ

So have a pleasant morning, and graciously come to us,

So have a good morning and come to us graciously

And leave discord aside, for this is no day for discord.

And leave disagreement for it is not a day of disagreement
